The EC-RC4G connects directly either an analogue telephone line (POTS) or to the mobile phone network via its own internal GSM module. When you dial it, the unit asks you for a password and then you can, via DTMF tones on any phone, to switch on/off or reboot any device connected to any of its 4 channels independantly. It is powered directly from the mains (230vAC) and the device connects via the dual IEC connectors.
